Foods that make you feel bloated are those that cause gas or it can be those foods that takes heel lot of time to digest.

are some vegetables and others that might be due to food intolerance’s. Apart from bloating and abdominal pain, gas is another common symptom. There are many foods that cause gas and bloating and here is a list of foodstuffs.

High Fat Food:

Consuming a very high fat can also result in gas. According to the

, these foods cause bloating because the stomach delays emptying of the food. High fat foods include fatty meats like regular ground beef and bacon, fried foods, poultry with skin, whole milk dairy products and fatty meats.

Vegetables, fruits and legumes are considered healthy but they can also cause bloating. According to the

Mayo Clinic and NIH,

certain sugars and fiber can also lead to gas. Some of the vegetables include asparagus, artichokes and beans like dried peas, Brussels, broccoli, onions, cauliflower, radishes and cabbage. Fruits that can result in bloating are apricots, pears, peaches, prunes and apples. These fruits have sugar sorbitol that can cause gas. Sorbitol is also added to many of the sugar free foods.

sugar lactose that is present in dairy products is a common cause of gas and bloating. Whole grains like wheat bran, whole wheat and oats also can make you feel bloated.

According to the vegetarian society, the most common food intolerance’s are eggs, fish, shellfish, nuts, chocolate, chicken, soft fruits, pork, yeast and tomatoes. Other foods that fall under the category of food intolerance’s are gluten, barley, rye and other processed foods.

So, these were some of the foods that cause gas and bloating. All you have to do is limit the intake of these foods or stop consuming them till the signs and symptoms of bloating and gas subside. This can keep your digestive system healthy.
